GENERAL OBJECTIVES TRAINING

The Community Health Assistant study program aims to promote the emergence of a new skill profile, in line with the country’s new health strategies, within the limits of its professional responsibilities.

General objective

At the end of their training, graduates will be able to support geographic, social, professional and cultural communities in the process of community participation in health matters through actions to support the implementation of priority health programs and the conduct of local initiatives in the form of sustainable community projects.

Specific objectives

Within the limits of its skills, Community Health Aid must be able to:
Promote the rights, duties and responsibilities of individuals and communities with a view to their conscious participation in health actions that concern them;
Respond to the educational and social needs of an individual or group, taking into consideration their socio-cultural dimension and their personality. etc.

PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING

Allow Community Health Aid to carry out each of its roles while respecting the ethical and legal aspects of its profession;
Contribute to build a critical mass of human resources for promotion in health and development;
Practice in a community setting;

DURATION OF TRAINING

The entire training takes place over twelve months with theoretical courses and practical internships.
Two weeks of break from classes are granted in December, two weeks of leave between semesters and 10 public holidays on average.
The training is organized into areas and modules of varying duration related to the importance of the discipline taught. Each week of training consists of forty (40) hours.
